Facts before the start of the third phase of BPL – 3

The third phase of the BRB Cables BPL T20 tournament of 2015 is going to commence within twenty four hours from now on and the matches will again turn into the capital city Dhaka from the port city of Chittagong.

Among the six franchises, Chittagong Vikings has completed their most number of matches; out of allotted 10 matches, the Vikings has played 8 matches so far – with only 2 wins on the card, they are now literally out of the competition although Sylhet Super Stars is standing at the bottom of the table with just a single win but they have two more matches to play than Chittagong Vikings.

7 matches have been played so far by Comilla Victorians and Rangpur Riders each; between them Comilla Victorians is in the top of the point table with 10 points for 5 wins – Barisal Bulls is also carrying similar number of points from their 5 wins but they are slightly behind the Victorians in net run rate.

Barisal Bulls has a considerable upper hand over Comilla Victorians as they have played a single match less than the Victorians – their 5 wins came from 6 matches while Comilla Victorians’ 5 wins came from 7 matches.

Rangpur Riders and Dhaka Dynamites are staying in number three and four position respectively. The Riders’ 4 wins came from 7 matches meanwhile Dynamites grabbed 3 wins in 6 matches.
In the second match of the double header of December 6, Rangpur Riders will face Dhaka Dynamites when which will supposedly determine the superiority of either of them.

Meanwhile in the first match of the day, Barisal Bulls will have their encounter against Sylhet Super Stars. For the Super Stars, there will nothing to lose in that match but a defeat for the Bulls might deteriorate their hunt for the top position in the table.
