Faheem Ashraf rested for last three ODIs

Pakistan fast bowler Faheem Ashraf has been rested for the last three ODIs against Australia.

With already five key players rested including skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, pacer Faheem Ashraf has now been rested as well for the last three ODIs.

The decision was mainly taken because the team management wants to keep their fast bowler fresh ahead of the World Cup and the decision was taken by Inzamam ul Haq after discussing with the team management.

Pakistan are set to play England in a T20I and five ODIs ahead of their World Cup opener against the Windies on May 31 at Trent Bridge. In the lead up to the England series, Pakistan play three warm-ups against Kent (April 27), Northamptonshire (April 29), and Leicestershire (May 1). They also play two World Cup warm-ups against Afghanistan and Bangladesh on May 24 and 26 before the start of the tournament.

Meanwhile after the second ODI, the third ODI will take place in Abu Dhabi on March 27. The last two ODIs will be held at Dubai on March 29 and 31 respectively.
