The venue of the IPL final, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has a capacity of 39000. As per reports in Sports India, some 25000 to 30000 tickets are put up for sale in usual occasion.

However the number of tickets released for sale this time around is not known.

When asked about this to an HCA committee member, he said,

“How can all the tickets be sold in minutes? It is quite baffling and the BCCI has to give an answer for depriving the fans of a chance to watch the finals.”

The Event management company who were in charge of ticket selling denied to disclose any statement regarding the issue.

Sudheer Reddy of EventsNow said “I cannot give any details. We are selling tickets which have been given to us. It is the BCCI which should give out the details, we are not authorized to do so.”

The HCA official, therefore said, “EventsNow or the BCCI should come out in the open and clear the air.”
The Indian media reported that ticket sales were announced on Wednesday morning without any prior notices.

As the fans logged in to buy tickets, there were no stocks available leaving people and the Hyderabad Cricket Association suspicious about the whole process.
