Fawad Alam breaks legendary Saeed Anwar’s record in first-class cricket
Fawad Alam has made new history by breaking the record of Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Saeed Anwar. Fawad Alam, a former Pakistan national cricketer, has been batting with great form in domestic cricket from many years.
Fawad Alam scored 11,830 runs in 162 matches in first-class cricket. This had been the highest run for any batsman in Pakistan first-class cricket. Earlier, the legendary cricketer Saeed Anwar, who played a maximum of 200 matches in Pakistan first-class cricket, scored 11,213 runs.
In addition, Imran Farhat scored 10,772 runs in 151 first-class matches. Faisal Iqbal scored 10,384 runs in 167 matches.
Fawad Alam not only in top with most runs, but also in top with maximum centuries in first-class cricket. He had scored 32 centuries in 162 matches in first-class cricket. Imran Farhat scored the second highest 30 centuries. Saeed Anwar picked-up 26 centuries.
Relatively, Saeed Anwar played 55 Test matches for Pakistan from 1990 to 2003 and scored 4.052 runs with 11 centuries. He played a total of 247 ODIs with a record 20 centuries and scored 8,824 runs.
On the other hand, Fawad Alam scored 1,216 runs for the national team from 2009 to 2015 and played 3 Tests and 38 ODI matches.
