Finch ton sees Aussies register dominant win

A blistering knock from skipper Aaron Finch led the Aussies to a dominant victory over Zimbabwe in the second of the ongoing tri-nation series underway in Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Batting first at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Finch broke his own record for the highest Twenty20 international score,  blasting 172 off just 76 balls. He made an opening stand of 223 runs in 19.2 overs with his partner D’Arcy Short. The 172-run knock was laced with 16 boundaries and 10 hits over the fence as he batted with a strike rate of 226.31 to pilot Australia to a mammoth 229/2. For Zimbabwe, fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani picked up two wickets in the 20th over of the innings.e

Chasing 230 in 20 overs, Zimbabwe had a brilliant start their openers Chamu Chibhabha and Solomon Mire adding 42 runs in the scoreboard before Chibhabha fell for 18 in the third delivery of the fourth over. Afterward, they were never in the game as they kept losing wickets in a regular interval.
