Mustafizur is one of two Bangladeshis in this year’s IPL. He has not played in the last two T20Is but stayed with the group. Even if he flies for India on April 5, he will require to remain quarantined for seven days, which will eventually pull him out of Rajasthan’s opening match.

“He (Mustafizur) has not yet left for India. He is with the team and will leave with the team on Sunday,” Bangladesh media manager Rabeed Imam told InsideSport.

Rajasthan will play their first match against Punjab Kings on April 12. They will play their second against Delhi Capitals three days later. Both matches will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Mustafizur’s participation against Delhi might still be under cloud considering quarantine fatigue and regaining match fitness.

English bowler Jofra Archer will miss first four matches for Rajasthan Royals as per reports. This will leave the pace bowling responsibilities on Andrew Tye, and all-rounders Chris Morris and Ben Stokes.

Rajasthan Royals squad: Sanju Samson (captain), Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Rahul Tewatia, Mahipal Lomror, Kartik Tyagi, Andrew Tye, Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markande, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anuj Rawat, David Miller, Manan Vohra, Robin Uthappa, Shivam Dube, Chris Morris, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya, KC Cariappa, Liam Livingstone, Kuldip Yadav, Akash Singh.
