Gary Kirsten to accompany Mushfiq-Mominul’s

Gary Kirsten is a well known name in world cricket. He is also very well known in Bangladesh cricket. After the departure of Sri Lankan coach Chandika Hathurusingha, Kirsten was given the responsibility of sorting out the coaching staff of the Bangladesh team. This time Carsten is accompanying Mushfiqur and Muminul in the zoom meeting.

The country’s cricket has been stagnant for a long time due to Corona. Cricketers are practicing at home. Some have recently returned to field practice following hygiene rules. The members of the national team’s coaching staff are stuck in their respective countries because of Corona. At this time the cricketers are communicating with the coaches in virtual meetings.

One such virtual meeting or online meeting will be held next Wednesday (August 5). And Kirsten will be present as a surprise at this meeting. National team head coach Russell Domingo worked with the South African in the national team. This time Domingo is bringing Kirsten in the online conference among the cricketers of Bangladesh team. At his invitation, the World Cup-winning coach will discuss various issues with the Tigers.


Confirming the matter, Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB’s Cricket Operations Committee, told BDCrictime,

” In the recent past, Kirsten has been a consultant to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). After Hathurusinghe’s departure, he was instrumental in appointing Steve Rhodes as the team’s coach. The compatriot and former teammate says he has a great relationship with the current head coach of the Tigers, Domingo.”
