In the world of Cricket, every team’s dream is to see Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle opening together. It is now just a matter of time for BPL team Rangpur Riders to see it in reality.
Gayle and McCullum will play for Rangpur Riders from 18th November till the end of the tournament.
Coach Tom Moody said: “In T20, the start is very important and we are lacking in this. If batsmen support, then it becomes easy for the bowlers to do their job.”
Moody also thinks the arrival of McCullum and Gayle will boost the confidence of the team: “In the next 2-3 days Gayle, McCullum and Kusal Perera will join the team. Our top order is failing to score runs. In Sha Allah, the top order will click after their arrival.”
Gayle and McCullum are set to come in Bangladesh on 16th November and they will play the match against Comilla Victorians on 18th. So far, Rangpur won only 1 match out of 3.
