Hafeez refuses to sign contract offered by PCB

Former Pakistan skipper Muhammad Hafeez has refused his contract for upcoming seasons. The veteran batsman has decided not to take the contract offered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Therefore, the batsman will not have any monthly allocation if he further plays for the team.

The former all rounder has informed the board for his unwillingness but didn’t mentioned any reasons. The board had offered 39-year-old a monthly contract of more than Rs 100,000. But the all rounder denied the scale. Therefore, Hafeez will now be given a retainer contract under which he will not get salary but match fee and daily allowance.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket Board PCB has formulated an regulations for all the players regarding participation in any form of cricketing event. Accronding to the board, no player is allowed to participate in any forms of events without signing any contract. Last year, some cricketers participated in the event without signing the contract.

Besides, the board has decided that there will be separate contracts for cricketers and match officials from different perspectives with different section in the board. Therefore, after signing the PCB contract, they will have to get the NOC of the board before accepting any other contract.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hafeez played a beautiful knock in the last series to win the final T20 between England and Pakistan. He was prominent with the bat for couple of series in the short format.
