Hardik Pandya picks 6 players in his ‘gully cricket team’
India’s flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya had a candid chat with commentator Harsha Bhogle where he discussed some important things about cricket. During the conversation, the all-rounder was asked to name his team from given options for every slot.
Hardik Pandya had picked Caribbean star and Universe Boss Chris Gayle for his gully cricket (street cricket) team over his Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma. The side comprising only six cricketers had no slot for Ravindra Jadeja or Ben Stokes.
For openers, he got players like Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, and Quinton de Kock as options. Hardik Pandya straightaway picked Chris Gayle.
The reason to choose Chris Gayle over other big players is that Hardik was a huge fan of the West Indies legend even before he made a mark into international cricket.
Hardik also highlighted that he likes Caribbean players because of their confidence levels. He has a liking towards Windies players but the all-rounder denied settling down in West Indies post-retirement.
Russell was picked over the likes of Jadeja and Stokes. He also named Krunal Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah the other two players of his team to wrap it up.
