Haris Rauf tests negative after 6th test

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has finally tested negative for COVID-19 after doing test for the sixth time. He is now all set to join the Pakistan team in England.

It has been tough for Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf for the last few weeks as he was suffering from coronavirus. While all his team-mates were busy with training sessions in England, he was struggling to recover from the virus and despite testing for four times, he was still tested positive.

Haris needed to test negative twice to join the Pakistan squad in England and the fast bowler has finally got the got news on Thursday. He had undergone six Covid-19 tests until July 20, out of which five were positive. There was one negative result, but he had to test it again according to the rules of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The fast bowler is in the plans and he is likely to join the squad in England within the next weeks Although, he won’t be considered in the longer format of the game, Pakistan is looking to play him in the T20Is.

Haris wanted to play in the longer format of the game, but he faced a setback due to the COVID-19. The team management have already named a 20-man Test squad where Haris is not called-up. The T20I series is scheduled to begin on August 28 and he is most likely to feature in it.
