Harsha Bhogle labels Ravindra Jadeja as ‘Sir Jadeja’; CSK all-rounder replies
Ravindra Jadeja has proved many times that he is one of the smartest all-rounders in the world. His batting has been amazing, bowling has been incredible and his fielding has been world-class without the shadow of any doubt.
During the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, Jadeja brought the best out of himself against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He showcased his three-dimensional game plan in the best possible way. He scored vital runs for the team while also took wickets and then dismissed Daniel Christian in the form of a run-out.
Jadeja equalled Universe Boss Chris Gayle’s exceptional record of 37 runs in an over by targeting Harshal Patel in the last over of Chennai Super Kings’ batting. Jadeja struck 5 sixes and a boundary in the last over and went on to score 62 off 28 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes).
He accounted for 3 dismissals including AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell. Meanwhile, Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle heaped praise on Jadeja for his all-round display against RCB. The popular commentator chose him as his stand-out all-rounder in the competition so far.
“The all-round performance of the season; there can only be one, and that is Sir Jadeja himself. He hits 37 off the last over, he then picks 3/13 including the wickets of Maxwell and AB, has a direct hit.
One person doing that (is) inconceivable. If there is a better performance than this in this season, I want to be there, bang in the middle watching it happen,” he said on Cricbuzz.
Interestingly, Harsha’s remark caught the eyeballs of Jadeja. The all-rounder himself took to Twitter and replied to Bhogle. The CSK all-rounder thanked the commentator for his remark but at the same time added that he would happy if he would call him “Ravindra Jadeja”.
“Thanks a lot, @bhogleharsha but I will be more happy if you call me Ravindra Jadeja” read his tweet.
