Hasan Ali attempts ‘fishy’ catch – sparks huge controversy
Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali fall into controversial chaos following his claiming of a catch despite the ball apparently seen dropped.
The incident happened in Pakistan’s tour opening match against Kent where the tourists comfortably beat the county side by 100 runs.
Pakistan scored a gigantic total of 358 runs losing 7 wickets in their 50 overs. In reply, Kent were 176 runs for 3 at the 30th over when Alex Blake’s attempted shot rocketed high.
In the video footage of the match shown Hasan grounded the catch but continued to celebrate and the batsman was also not given amnesty by field umpires.
According to the laws of cricket, it said, “a fielder obtains complete control over both the ball and his/her own movement”.

@BumbleCricket have you seen a worse umpiring decision than this? Alex Blake given out after Hasan Ali dropped a dolly then pretended he’d caught it. What’s worse – the umpiring or the cheating? pic.twitter.com/gPEDprEDBr
