Hasan Ali requests Mushfiqur Rahim to tour Pakistan

For security reasons, there had been a lot of talk about Bangladesh’s visit to Pakistan. Finally, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) agreed to play a full series in three phases. The Tigers havd already finished two phases.

However, Mushfiqur Rahim had been the only cricketer for Bangladesh who was absent during these phases. And in the last phase, he would not move one foot from his previous position. He wouldn’t feature in the last phase too.

However, Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali claimed the current situation in Pakistan was normal. He’s not only stopped here, he had also requested Mushfiqur to come to Pakistan.

Bangladesh first played three-match T20I series in the first phase. And in the second phase, there was a Test match. In the third and final phase, there will be a ODI and a Test. Although Bangladesh had not won any matches so far.

However, during the Bangladesh ODI series against Zimbabwe, BCB talked with Mushfiqur about the Pakistan tour. Various media reported that Mushfiqur was also pressured to travel to Pakistan. But the wicketkeeper-batsman had been sticking to his own decision.

Meanwhile, Pakistani bowler Hasan had invited Mushfiqur to come to Pakistan. He added that West Indies fast bowler Carlos Brathwaite told him why the former Bangladesh captain was not visiting Pakistan. According to him, Mushfiq should come with the team. Brathwaite also though that Pakistan is a safe country.

Hasan Ali is currently playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Brathwaite also plays in the tournament held in Pakistan. “Brathwaite has told me today why Mushfiqur is not visiting Pakistan,” Hasan said after a league match. “I’ve told him I’m not sure but I think he should come. That’s where his team is coming to play against us. According to Brathwaite, Mushfiqur should come, because Pakistan is a safe country.
