Hazlewood, Kohli no.1, Shakib retains top spot

International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the latest ODI player rankings. India’s Virat Kohli has become number one ODI batsman again, while Josh Hazlewood tops the bowling rankings for the first time. Shakib Al Hasan retains top spot in all-rounder rankings. South Africa’s AB de Villiers poor form in the Champions Trophy, scoring only 20 runs in three matches, has pushed him down to number three in batting rankings. Kohli scored two fifties so far. He has regained the top spot with 862 ratings.

Hazlewood has taken nine wickets in three games for Australia in the tournament including a six-for against New Zealand. His performance has taken him to the top spot. Kagiso Rabada, who had the reign, lost his position and dropped down to four.

Rashid Khan, who has taken ten wickets against West Indies including 7/18, has jumped 18 places to seal number 7 spot. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan has been dropped down to 16 from top ten.
