I am getting back to rhythm: Taskin

After being a regular face in the National team, Taskin Ahmed has been dropped for the upcoming tri-nation series. But the pacer is taking this as a positive thing.

During an interview in the Sylhet International Stadium, Taskin said: “Obviously I am confident. I have been dropped from the team after 4 years. I think everything happened for a reason.”

He added: “I have been facing problems with my bowling for the past few months, my line-length was not good. But now I think, the past problems are not happening now and I am getting back to rhythm. After getting dropped now I am playing in BCL to prepare myself again to prove my worth.”

There is a huge different between shorter format’s Taskin and longer format’s Taskin. When asked what’s his place in the longer format of the game: “I won’t say its going bad, its going well. I played two matches including national league. I bowled 28 overs in both the matches. I got 4 wickets in BCL and 3 wickets here in BCL.”

He added: “I am not used to in the long format of the game. I played only 12 matches in domestic cricket and 6 matches for the national team. My target is to stay fit and to give service to the national team.”

When asked about BCL: “BCL is a very good tournament. Our franchise is very good, we are getting the facilities quite well. The players who are out from the national team are getting benefited by playing in this tournament.”
