I am playing like the team wants me to play: Anamul

With Soumya Sarkar dropped and Imrul Kayes injured, the door is now all open for Anamul Haque to make his place set in the national team. Anamul returned to the squad after three years.

In the shorter format of the game, Anamul had some problem with maintaining the strike rate and he has overcome it in the first match of the tri-nation series as he played with a strike rate of 100. In the press conference on Sunday, Anamul said he will play the way the team will want.

He said: “The team management has gave me the freedom to play the way I want. I am trying to play like the team wants me to play. Actually, its always feels good to get freedom, it becomes more easy to show what you are capable of.”

Anamul also said that he is getting help from the senior cricketers after returning in the team: “Everyone is supporting me. Tamim bhai, Mushfiq bhai, Shakib bhai, Riyad bhai, Mashrafe bhai all are helping me. This is something to be very happy off! I always wanted to play like the way team wants. As the team is happy, I am very happy too.”

In the last match, Anamul completed 1000 ODI runs in international cricketers and he became the quickest Bangladeshi to achieve this milestone.
