I want to learn as much as I can from Jayawardene: Shanto

After whitewashing Ireland ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’ team’s captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto wants to perform well now in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). [আরো পড়ুনঃ জয়াবর্ধনের কাছ থেকে যতোটা সম্ভব শিখতে চান শান্ত] 

Shanto will feature for Khulna Titans in the fifth edition of BPL. Former Sri Lankan Cricketer Mahela Jayawardene is their coach and Shanto wants to learn everything he can from the legendary Sri Lankan batsman.

Shanto told reporters at Mirpur Shere-e-Bangla on Sunday: “Now I want to take myself match by match. I want to play better than I played in last season.”

He added: “Jayawardene scored a lot of runs in International cricket. I want to learn as much as I can from him. How he scored so many runs in his career, how he played the big bowlers, I want to learn all these things from him.”

When asked what are his views for his team, Shanto said: “I think our team is very good. Our team combination is also good. We have a nice mixture of local and foreign players.”

BPL will kick off on 4th November at the Sylhet International Stadium. Khulna Titans’ will start their campaign on 5th November against the defending champions Dhaka Dynamites.
