‘I would be so happy if Bangladesh could win the tri-nation tournament’

Mashrafe bin Mortaza, the man who carved his niche as a captain who can turn everything right for a team to clinch a win, wherever it is, either in international cricket or domestic leagues. Mashrafe pioneered Bangladesh national team to innumerous success and along with that, his achievement in domestic cricket of the country is also enviable.

Salahuddin feels the importance of Mashrafe in T20I

The year 2010-11 was the last season Mashrafe bin Mortaza won the title of the Dhaka Premier League. He led Rangpur Riders to win the BPL championship last year and in 2015, Mashrafe guided Comilla Victorians to claim the title.

And on Tuesday, if Abahani Limited will be able to defeat Legends of Rupganj in the final of the Dhaka Premier League 2017, it would be once again Mashrafe bin Mortaza who would raise the trophy.

Hence captain Mashrafe, stead passed the boundary of domestic cricket, uttered regrets about team Bangladesh for frustratingly failing to win the trophy of the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka.

“I’m so much in belief in luck. One must try to achieve success. But I would be rather happy if Bangladesh could win the title of the tri-nation series trophy. Series will come one after another and we will also have to continue to play well,” Mashrafe said.

“Having achieved something is really good; if not, we would have to raise up in the next morning to do the same job again,” said ever rational Mashrafe bin Mortaza.

In this season of the Dhaka Premier League, Mashrafe grabbed the record of claiming most number of wickets in a year.
