ICC trolls Sachin in front of Ben Stokes

International Cricket Council (ICC) might have annoyed Indian cricket fans after posting a cryptic tweet on social media tagging Sachin Tendulkar. The international governing body tweeted a picture of legendary Sachin Tendulkar with Ben Stokes and then posted a tricky caption.

The caption read, “The greatest cricketer of all time”- and Sachin Tendulkar with a wink emoji #CWC19Final”

Well, nobody saw this coming and that too from ICC. Even if it was their mistake, they would have edited it but it appears very clear that they have intentionally targeted Sachin Tendulkar.

Ben Stokes showcased sheer exuberance on the pitch by scoring an unbeaten 84* to help England chase 242 against New Zealand. He once again proved that he is one of the best all-rounders of England cricket. He was named the player-of-the-match for his World Cup final heroics.

New Zealand scored 241 in their quota of overs and chasing the target, England too ended up scoring 241 at the end. There was a chance for England to seal the deal in the last over. However, New Zealand managed to keep things tight to restrict England to 241. This was the first time that the game was dragged till the super over.

Cut to the super over, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler came out to bat and they smashed 15 runs, including two fours off six balls bowled by Trent Boult. In reply, New Zealand pair Jimmy Neesham and Guptill came out to bat.

Neesham struck a six off Jofra Archer’s bowling with Kiwis needing 7 off the last 4 balls but however, Archer was smart enough to keep the batsmen in check as the super over ended in a tie. England won the World Cup because they scored more boundaries than New Zealand.
