ICC vice president launched new platform for cricket supporters


Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Society (BCSS) has been officially launched by ICC vice President AHM Mustafa Kamal yesterday in an inaugural ceremony at the Daily Star Center yesterday. BCSS has been formed with a view to make a bridges within the cricket supporters of all corners of the country. The society will support the national team in the field both home and abroad.

The society was formed by 21 founder members from all sectors and they are going to start the registration of associate members from 20th to 30th of November. The registration will go through by their website www.bcss-tigers.com.

Eminent cricket collectors, organizers, sports journalists and supporters are with this association. Publishing a full monthly magazine and circulating a news web portal are among prime objectives of the society. They have also a plan to organize an exhibition of cricket memorabilia during T20 Word Cup of 2014.

ICC President has made the official inauguration; former director of Board Khondokar Jamil Uddin, Mahbub Hamid Tara – father of national team skipper Mushfiqur Rahim were among the distinguished guests.

BCSS president Mr. Zunaed Paiker said there main proposition is to connect the fanatic cricket lovers, cricketers and all the cricket concerned people of the country.

Before the starting of the program one minute silence was observed for the farewell match of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
