Recently, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon has said that they’re planning to make a change in the ODI captaincy.

Every Mashrafe fan was shocked hearing such statements from the board president as the supreme captain of Bangladesh has been doing well and led the side in 40 ODIs and won 24 of them at a rate of 62.5

But unlike the fans, Mashrafe is an old customer in this field so he knows how to behave in such situation. “I didn’t want the captaincy but BCB did. They gave me the chance to represent the country and now if they want to see a change then it is fine,” he said.

The 33-year old Bangladesh ODI skipper further said that he didn’t play for the captaincy and he would continue playing as a regular player if his performance remains same.

“I don’t play for the captaincy. I am a player and that’s why I play. If my performance remains good, I’ll keep playing. I have been in good form and so I am enjoying the game,” he added.
