Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hossain has been away from the national team for a long time. Although he was once a regular member, he also received the name of a finisher. Nasir wants to return to the national team, but first, he has to prove himself in 22 yards. Nasir has been doing that quite well lately.
Despite not getting a chance in the national team, Nasir has consistently played well in domestic cricket. He has performed very well in the recently-concluded Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). When the national team lacks a competent finisher, Nasir's fluent batting under pressure is a ray of hope. The 30-year-old cricketer, however, is optimistic that if he plays well, the door to the national team will open again.
Nasir last played for the national team in 2018. Once involved in various controversies, he went out of the limelight. However, the hope and love of the supporters for him have not decreased so much. And so when they see Nasir doing well, they still feel good about it.
Nasir said, he also has a goal to fulfill their expectations, “There is always an attempt to play in the national team. It is every cricketer's dream. I say one thing again and again - the door of the national team is open to everyone. If you perform well, you will definitely get a chance in the national team. Maybe some come first, some come later. But if you do well, opportunities will come.”
Nasir also believes that if he plays well, the door will open. He further told BDCricTime, “I believe, if I play well, I will get that opportunity again. Life is too short. Alhamdulillah I am healthy, I am fine.  I try to stay good in every moment. Whatever situation I am in, I try to be good.”
