Imrul Kayes in home quarantine with his family

Imrul Kayes, Bangladesh national team cricketer, is at home quarantine with his family at Ujalpur village in Meherpur Sadar upazila. He has started the quarantine at the direction of the health department after his father’s burial on Monday afternoon.

Meherpur Civil Surgeon Dr Nasir Uddin said cricketer Imrul Kayes respected the government’s direction. Since he is from Dhaka, all the family have been asked to make quarantine in their house for 14 days. He is now at his home in quarantine.

Today (Monday, April 20), his father’s body arrived from Dhaka in the morning at the house of Ujjalpur village of Meherpur Sadar upazila. The janaza was held in front of his house at around 10:30 am. For the purpose of maintaining social distance, the administration had earlier declared ban on social people to come. As a result, only the family members attended the funeral.

Before the funeral, Imrul Kayes sought the blessings of his father’s soul and asked for prayer to everyone. He also apologized to everyone for failing to inform everyone to come at janaza for the disaster in the country.

Bani Amin Biswas, 60, father of Imrul Kayes, was seriously injured in a collision with a human haulernear on his way to Meherpur city on March 23. He left his last breath at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical College Hospital in the capital Dhaka on Sunday night (April 19). Imrul Kayes came to the village home with his father’s body at night.
