After the newly crowned Shreyas Iyer revived Delhi Daredevils’ stuttering campaign with a massive win against a formidable Kolkata Knight Riders, they are now taking on the Chennai Super Kings in match number 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The new skipper elected to field first after winning the toss which didn’t go well this time as the CSK openers Shane Watson (78) and Faf du Plessis (33) started their innings with all guns blazing.
Watson’s innings of 78 included 4 fours and 7 massive sixes. After their dismissal, in form batsman Ambati Rayudu played a blinder of a knock. With 5 fours and 1 sixes, Rayudu scored 41 off just 24 balls before getting run out.

The captain led the team from the front as he stayed till the end and secured a huge score of 211 to throw at the Daredevils who are already at the bottom of the table.
CSK are second on the points table but their confidence suffered a blow on Saturday against another struggling outfit Mumbai Indians. Among other things, the Delhi outfit would hope that skipper Iyer continues to lead from the front as he did with a match-winning 93 against KKR.
