After a long stay in Ahmedabad, both teams will head to Pune for the three-match ODI series. Now it looks like there might be a change in the venue for the ODI series. The sudden rise of COVID-19 cases in Pune is said to be the reason for alternative thinking.

The city recorded 1542 new cases and 8 deaths on Thursday. Also, Maharastra state is having a sudden rise in the no. of new cases. The hike in the positive cases has made BCCI rethink the schedules planned in Pune.

As per reports, BCCI is looking to find an alternative venue for the ODI series among the venues that are hosting the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Anyhow, nothing is official up to now and also it is said that the sudden rise of cases in the state will influence the selection of venues for IPL 2021.
