India, Kohli remain on top in updated ICC ranking
In the updated ranking of International Cricket Council, India and skipper Virat Kohli remained in the pole positions.
Bangladesh can move ahead of the Windies in eighth place but to make that happen, they will have to win all the four Tests. Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in the two match Test series starting from November 3 in Sylhet followed by the other Test in Dhaka. The two match Test series against Windies will follow after that.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli owns 935 points, 25 points ahead of Australia’s Steve Smith (910 points).
England will travel to Galle for first of the three Tests against Sri Lanka, the tourists could rise in the second position if they will be able to win the series.
Sri Lanka can move ahead of fifth-placed Australia, but will have to win all the three Tests.
In the Men’s ODI ranking, India’s Ravindra Jadeja jumped 16 places to sit at No.25 among bowlers after claiming 7 wickets in three matches against West Indies.
Sri Lanka’s Akila Dananjaya was also amongst the significant gainers amongst the bowlers, climbing eight places to the 13th spot.
in the batsmen’s table Windies’ batsmen Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer were big gainers. They settled at No. 25 (up 22 spots) and No.26 (up 31 spots) respectively.
Both Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer scored 250 runs each against India in the just completed series against India.
