Indian seniors may play against Bangladesh A

The Board of Cricket Control for India (BCCI) yesterday announced a two-week tour of Bangladesh A team starting on September 16 which will feature three one dayers (List A) matches and a three-day game against India A in Bengaluru.
According to the reports in Indian media, it is being expected that some of the senior team players might play a match or two against the second-string Tigers in order to get into the groove before the big ticket home series against the Proteas which starts on October 2 with three-match T20 Internationals followed by five-match ODI series.
There are also reports that the Team India will be having a conditioning and short fitness camp in Bengaluru. With all the ODI matches slated on September 16, 18 and 20 respectively, it may be convenient for some of the players of the Indian senior team to play in these matches like India’s new Test skipper Virat Kohli did before the away Test series against Sri Lanka, where India clinched the series 2-1.
The likes of Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina and even the top ODI cricker of the Blues at the moment – Kohli might find it useful to prepare themselves for the shorter format ahead of South Africa series. ODI captain MS Dhoni has also been out of match-practice for a long time and might just find it handy to get a hit in match situation against Bangladesh A.
