Rahane captained Rajasthan Royals for two seasons. Rahane roped in for Rajasthan Royals since 2011 after being purchased for Rs 4 crore. The dealings started months prior, when the now BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, was as yet an advisor with the Delhi Capitals. A year ago, Rahane was expelled from captaincy after eight games and Steven Smith was given the role. Rahane played 100 matches for the Jaipur-based franchise Rajsthan Royals.
