IPL 2020: Kohli brutally trolled on social media after RCB’s loss to SRH

Another season, another frustration campaign for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL). They again failed to make any huge mark in the tournament as they lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) miserably yesterday (November 6) in Abu Dhabi.

IPL 2020: Kohli brutally trolled on social media after RCB's loss to SRH

RCB shuffled up their playing XI for the knockout game. Skipper Virat Kohli came to open the innings after Sunrisers opted to bowl first. Kohli’s short stay was ended by Jason Holder as he was caught behind down the leg-side in the second over after scoring just 6 runs.

After that, social media users started to troll Kohli by pointing out his run drought in knockout games throughout his career. They started to trend #ThankyouKohli and mocking Kohli and the whole RCB team on social media.

Fans were expecting something good from RCB this season as RCB won 7 out of their first 10 games and were one of the strongest contender to finish in top 2 alongside Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. But they lost their last four group-stage matches and finished at fourth in the point table.

And in the eliminator yesterday, they registered their straight fifth loss in this year’s IPL which the cricket fans didn’t take softly.

Here’s what social media came up with #ThankYouKohli and #EeSalaCupNamde (another one of RCB’s infamous hashtag that has become the favorites of memers and trollers):
