IPL 2020 Mid-season Transfer: Complete list of players up for trade, transfer rules and eligibility

The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is at its peak now and the star players of every franchise have started to showcase their skills. However, there a lot of players who are warming the bench without playing a single game.

What is Mid-season Transfer?

The IPL Governing Council are ready to provide the opportunities to the players who are unutilized by the franchises. This is the main reason why they brought in the concept of mid-season transfer.

The mid-season transfer is the new concept to the game of cricket but the concept is being used in the football especially in the English Premier League. The players who have not been used by the franchises can get the opportunities to play more games for other franchises.

What are the rules to be followed during mid-season transfer?

The IPL Governing Council has released a couple of rules for the mid-season transfer. They are –

1. The franchises can sign a player from other franchises only after all the teams have played seven matches each.
2. A player is eligible for mid-season transfer only if they have played 2 or less than 2 games in the first seven games.
3. The transfer rule will come into effect only after all the franchises have played seven matches each.

Chennai Super Kings:

KM Asif, Imran Tahir, Narayan Jagadeesan, Mitchell Santner, Monu Kumar, Ruturaj Gaikwad, R Sai Kishore, Josh Hazlewood.

Delhi Capitals:
