More bad news are coming by Delhi Capitals as their wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is likely to miss a couple of games more due to a hamstring injury. In the last game against Mumbai Indians too, Rishabh Pant wasn’t in the playing XI. The left-handed batsman suffered a hamstring injury during their game against Rajasthan Royals on Friday.

At the end of the game against Mumbai Indians, Shreyas Iyer confirmed that the wicket-keeper batsman needs to have rest for at least a week. In such circumstances, Rishabh Pant will miss a minimum of two games for Delhi Capitals.

“We have no idea (on Rishabh’s availability), the doctor said he has to rest for a week and hope he comes back really strong,” Iyer said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

This is not the first time that Delhi Capitals are facing injury issues in the season. Already their prominent leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to a finger injury. Before that Ravichandran Ashwin missed a few games due to a shoulder injury he sustained in the very first game.
