Rajasthan Royals will play their first game of the season against Chennai Super Kings. While the inaugural IPL champions do not have many match-winners in their team, the three-time IPL champions started off their season with a victory against Mumbai Indians.

The overseas players like Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Tom Curran and Jofra Archer joined the squad ahead of the opening game. However, the opening batsman, Jos Buttler will miss the game against CSK, owning to the need to fulfil quarantine rules.

Robin Uthappa will open the inning along with Jaiswal. He is one of the most experienced players in the history of IPL. He would want to score more runs this season if he aims to come back to the national team.
