Players from all teams are sweating it out in the training sessions in order to give absolutely everything for the team. The tournament will kick-off on September 19, Sunday when the Mumbai Indians will take on Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will end on November 10.

IPL kick-started in the year 2008 since then there have been different winners in the league. Rajasthan Royals who won the league in the inaugural edition against Chennai Super Kings haven’t managed to reach the finals since their last IPL title victory.

CSK managed to reach the IPL eight times, more than any other team. However, they managed to win three titles. They qualified for playoffs in all seasons under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and are the consistent team in IPL.

The most successful IPL team is Mumbai Indians. They have won four titles under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, making him the most successful captain in IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders have won two titles whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad won one title to their name.

As per several media outlets, IPL will have pre-recorded cheers and fans’ reactions in order to boost cricketers’ spirit on the field. The all-important IPL is set to be aired live in as many as 120 countries, which is quite a remarkable thing.
