IPL 2021 Auctions: Five overseas players to watch out for, who didn’t play IPL 2020
The official proceedings for the next edition of the Indian Premier League have started already and now the last-minute release and trade of players are happening at the moment. All the franchises revealed that who are the players they have retained and released.
Even though it is a mini-auction, the excitement will be the peak for that too. There are some big names like Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch in the set of released players. At the same time, there are some who were not a part of the previous season like Shakib Al Hasan, Sam Billings, Dawid Malan, in contention for some huge bids.
Let’s have a look at five players who were not a part of last year’s IPL, with more demand in this year’s hammering process.
1. Alex Hales
The right-handed batsman from England is one of the key players to watch out for in this year’s auction. At the moment, the batsman is out of the England squad due to some conflict of terms between both parties. But he is fully available for the T20 leagues.
His aggressive approach as an opening batsman will be the pick on him. He is in terrific form in recent times. Recently, he scored a ton for Sydney Thunders against Sydney Sixers. In 2018, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad. But unfortunately, he didn’t get it right there. Hopefully, he will meet the expectations in this season.
