His gritty knock helped PBKS score 166/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Delhi Capitals didn’t have any issue in chasing down the target as they finished the game in 17.4 overs. They lost only 3 wickets in the run-chase. Dhawan top-scored with 69 off 47 balls. Mayank was named the Player of the Match for his exceptional batting.

Mayank talks about KL Rahul

PBKS’ interim skipper spoke about KL Rahul as the latter complained of severe abdominal pain and was later taken to the hospital for surgery. The stand-in skipper is confident that KL Rahul will make a comeback for the latter stages of the tournament.

The PBKS franchise confirmed the development in a press release but did not give a date on the 29-year-old’s return. “Hopefully not. Hopefully not for the rest of the tournament. But you will definitely miss a guy like him.

To be very honest I am grateful that we have a chance and opportunity to come here and play. Especially the current situation that our world and country is in. I am just extremely grateful,” Agarwal said while speaking to Kagiso Rabada after the game.

While speaking to the broadcaster at the post-match presentation ceremony, Mayank said: “Would’ve liked two points but we were ten short on that wicket and for the kind of PowerPlay they had, we had to really scramble there. One batsman had to bat through and that was the plan, it was my day and tried to get as many as we can but didn’t get as many in the middle overs but at least ended well.

We have to shut this off and turn up the next game and put our best foot forward, figure ways how to get those two points. Kudos to Harpreet, the way he turned up and also hit a crucial boundary, he’s bowling exceedingly well. It’s about doing well as a unit, hopefully we will do well in the next game.
