Rohit Sharma-led team lacked consistency right from the start. However, they can breathe a sigh of relief that they are still in the top 4 spot. But now, the BCCI has postponed the IPL 2021 for an indefinite period of time.

BCCI would face a massive loss of Rs 2,500 crore if they don’t finish the tournament this year. As per the reports, BCCI is looking at the September window to complete the competition.

Now, players from all IPL teams are heading straight to their homes safely. Before departing, Rohit Sharma and MI teammates shared a parting message with their fans and followers.

MI posted a video where their captain lauded the decision taken by the BCCI to postpone the 14th edition of the IPL. The MI captain had termed the postponement as rather “unlucky” but at the same time admitted that there was no way the tournament could have hosted considering the current situation.

Along with the MI captain, other players and support staff shared a parting message in the video clip. They urged the fans to look after themselves in this crisis.

MI posted the video on Twitter with the caption: “Paltan, thank you for your unrelenting support throughout the tournament! Till we meet again, we hope you keep staying safe and strong.”

In the video, Rohit Sharma said: “It’s unfortunate that the tournament has been postponed. But in light of everything that is happening around the country, I think it’s a very good decision. It’s very, very important that we look after each other. It’s a very serious matter so please follow all the protocols and guidelines and stay disciplined.”
