IPL Governing Council announced that the auction process for the IPL 2021 will be held on February 18th at Chennai.

Only after three months from the conclusion of IPL 2020, the proceedings for the IPL 2021 have been started. As the initial stage, all the franchises announced the list of players they are retaining ahead of the coming season. Also trade-offs are happening between franchises, and that will end by February 3rd.

The next big stop for IPL 2021, will be the mini auction. There is always a high anticipation for the hammering process right before the start of the tournament. This time too, the excitement is at peak among fans. There are some big names like Dawid Malan, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell will be coming under the hammer.

Meanwhile, IPL Governing Council officially announced that the hammering process for this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League will take place on 18th February. The auction will take place as a single day event at Chennai. During the scheduled time, India and England will be in Chennai for the first two Tests of the four-match Test series.

The next step will be the finalised list of players who will be coming under the hammer. The host of the auction is also yet to be announced by the organisers. After the closing of trade offs, further details regarding the auction will be released.
