IPL made me more experienced: Cummins
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is at the top among all the cricket franchise leagues. All the cricketers in the world are looking forward to get a team in this tournament.
The IPL is one of the most popular franchise leagues among Australian cricketers. Aussie pacer Pat Cummins has gained a lot of experience from that IPL.
In the death overs, he has bowled, taken advice from legendary cricketers and these have helped him improve his cricketing skills, says Aussie pacer.
Cummins has been bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 15.5 crore this season. Aussie pacer has previous experience of playing for KKR. He also played for other teams in IPL.
“I used to bowl towards the end in the previous edition of IPL. Either win or lose, I have played in such a situation. And I have learned a lot by bowling in the face of such pressure. It can be said that such a situation has made me more experienced.”
On the one hand, as Cummins has learned a lot from the situation, he has gained a lot of experience from the side of all the famous cricketers. Cummins says, “Rahul Dravid was my coach. I played with Jacques Kallis in KKR. Wasim Akram was my bowling coach while playing in KKR. A lot has been learned from them. Every time I feel like six or seven weeks has given me a lot of experience.”
This year IPL has been postponed due to coronavirus. Cummins thinks the IPL is important this time around for the T20 World Cup. Fans from cricketers are waiting for the ball to roll in the IPL.
