After winning, in the prize giving ceremony, Kohli said,

“It is a dream bowling combination for any captain. The fielders are getting ready to catch in any overs. Because our bowlers are in their best rhythm. When they bowl, all the pitches seem to be good pitches. It’s a dream bowling attack, though Jasprit Bumrah is not in the squad. It’s a great thing for any team to have such bowlers.”

With this win, Kohli has won 32 Tests as captain. And touched the record of Alan Border. He, however, refused to give importance to statistics. In the words of Kohli, “Our focus is on elevating Indian cricket. That’s motivation. So we are not interested in the number.”

The pink ball day-night Test will start from November 22 at Eden Garden in Kolkata. That will be the last match in the series. “That will be an interesting Test,” Kohli said. “Old ball doesn’t swing much. As a result, this will be a challenge for the bowlers. It will be a happy moment that we play for India with pink ball for the first time.”
