Besides bagging 10 wickets in the tournament, Abul Hasan caught the attention of spectators and selectors with his effective slow deliveries.

Revealing more of his secret urns, Abul Hasan said he has learned how to swing reversely from Waqar Younis, the legendary Pakistani pacer who worked as a mentor for Sylhet Sixers in BPL 2017.

“Actually I carried the challenge of progressing here during the BPL. Waqar Younis was on our team and I firmly believed I could enhance my skills working with him. I had done a lot of hard work for reverse swing with Waqar and polished slower deliveries too,” Abul Hasan said.

Hasan claimed he is applying the learnt skills during the practice session of Bangladesh.

“I’m confident; here comes the opportunity to prove myself. The great thing is I can prove something here,” he told excitedly.

Abul Hasan further said, “The most prominent thing is the strength. Waqar just asked just to maintain oneself and keep bowling. Yes, there are other differences too, like the way ball has to be gripped.”

Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are going to take part in a tri-nation series scheduled to start from 15th of January with the match between hosts and Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh will also play a bilateral Test series against Sri Lanka later on.
