Jadeja gets same salary as whole Pakistan team just by playing IPL
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is without a doubt one of the most popular franchise-based T20 leagues. Where there is fierce fighting on the field, there is an abundance of money and glamor outside the field.
The money in this tournament is so high that the entire Pakistan cricket team earns almost the same amount of money as Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. No fictional information, in fact it is.
Jadeja has been playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL for a long time. The left-arm spinning all-rounder was instrumental in Chennai winning the title in 2018. He is also scheduled to play for Chennai in the upcoming IPL.
Jadeja gets Rs 7 crore for playing for this franchise. He is the fourth most expensive cricketer in Chennai. Captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Kedar Jadhav get more money than him. Jadeja, who has been with Chennai since 2012, has a current salary of Rs 7 crore.
His salary is only Rs 4 million less than the annual salary of the entire Pakistan cricket team. In other words, 18 cricketers under the central contract of Pakistan get Rs 7 crore throughout the year. As soon as he plays IPL, Rs 7 crore goes to Jadeja’s bank account.
According to the latest agreement of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Babar Azam, Azhar Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who are in ‘A’ grade, get Rs 60 lakh a year. Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Mohammad Abbas and 9 others in B grade get a total of Rs 41 lakh. The annual salary of 6 cricketers in C grade is Rs 30 lakh.
The sum of the annual salaries of these 18 cricketers stands at Rs 7 crore 40 lakhs. But Jadeja gets 7 crore rupees in one season of IPL. With this, adding winning bonus if he wins the match and big prize money if he wins the tournament, Jadeja earns more than the Pakistan team.
