Under assurance of big bonus playing the terms, West Indies national team is on their way to tour Pakistan, the first time since 2006, to play a three match T20I series on coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
But the Caribbean team has lost a bunch of crucial mates along with regular T20I skipper Carlos Brathwaite on the ground of security concerns. Jason Mohammad, the 31 year old Trinidadian has replaced Brathwaite to lead the side.
CWI chief executive Jonny Grave said in a statement, “This tour is a further major step for our friends at the Pakistan Cricket Board to bring their cricket back home.”
“Independent security advisers, Eastern Star International, have confirmed … they are satisfied that the risk is manageable and can be mitigated to an acceptable level.
“We have made it very clear to the players and support staff that had personal reservations about this tour that we fully understand and accept their position,” he said.
