Jemieson debuts, India bring two changes in second ODI

Coming into the second of the three-match ODI series with a 1-0 lead, the hosts New Zealand are handing a debut to 25-year-old Kyle Jamieson.Kyle Jamieson

Jamieson, over two-metres tall, will play international cricket for the first time in front of his home crowd at Eden Park in Auckland.

The pace bowler was called into the national squad for the final two tests against Australia but did not play and was not in the side for the opening one-day match against India in Hamilton on Wednesday.

India, faced with a must win game, too have a couple of changes in their playing XI. Mohammed Shami has been given a day of with the skipper Virat Kohli specifically mentioning that he wanted the seamer to be fresh for the upcoming Test series.

In Shami’s absence, Navdeep Saini is getting a go, while Kuldeep Yadav has been replaced by Yuzvendra Chahal, who has not played an ODI for a while.

Winning the toss, Team India have chosen to bowl first, as they will be the team chasing in this game, unlike the previous one.

After clean sweeping the Kiwis 5-0 in the T20I series, India lost by four wickets in the first ODI in Hamilton.
