Johnson takes a dig at Kohli
Former Australian fast bowler, Mitchell Johnson has revived his old rivalry with Virat Kohli, as he mocked Indian skipper’s statement during the second Test match against New Zealand at Christchurch.
According to reports, Kohli was heard saying “Jab India mein yeh log aayengey, tab dikha doonga (When they will come to India, I will show them),” while fielding in the second Test.
Kohli said this on the third day of the Christchurch Test, when New Zealand were chasing 132 to complete a clean-sweep over the Indians.
Johnson took note of the incident and posted a picture of Virat Kohli along with his comments. Johnson also wrote “This gave me a laugh” alongside a laughing emoji in his post.
Such statement from the Aussie cricketer did not go down well with the Indian fans, as some of the responded with much severity.
However, the legendary pacer seemed unfazed by the harsh reactions of Indian fans and instead said that he was enjoying the backlash. He also posted a few pictures of the fans replies while stating the same.
It must be noted that Johnson and Kohli have been familiar foes of each other ever since their altercation in December 2014 during a series between India and Australia.
In one of the Tests, the Aussie pacer had infamously thrown a ball at Kohli’s body. Later, the Indian skipper smacked him for boundaries.
