Jos Buttler reveals the name of his cricket idol

The England cricketer, Jos Buttler has revealed the name of an idol in cricket. He is arguably one of the destructive batsmen in the modern-day cricket. Buttler has all the potential to become one of the greatest cricketers to have played for England.

He has been an integral part of the England team across all formats of the game. The right-handed cricketer played numerous match-winning knocks for his country. In 2019, he played a lot of crucial knocks in the World Cup tournament.

During the league match against, he scored 103 from just 76 balls. He also scored 64 against Bangladesh before knocking 59 against New Zealand in the finals. Buttler smashed 7 runs in the super over to take his team home.

The wicket-keeper batsman has revealed the name of his idol during The Royals Podcast Episode 3. His idol is the former South African cricketer, AB de Villiers. He also said that he loves watching the South African’s game.

“De Villiers has been my idol growing up. The guy I love watching, he is just awesome,” said Jos Buttler.

Both AB de Villiers and Jos Buttler were supposed to represent their respective franchises in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. But, the cash-rich league is suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament might be scheduled to take place in late 2020 if the things getting better in the upcoming months.
