It was indeed frustrating for the young performer as he had remained unsold after no team showed their interest to have him in their team during player by choice segment which held on 22th October which came as a surprise for the cricket fans of Bangladesh.

It was quite unbelievable that the talented, stylist and effective leg spinner who already had proved himself wearing the jersey of his country in international cricket didn’t get a team. Finally, Rangpur Riders who are participating in BPL for the second time has come forward to make a place for Jubair in this season’s BPL.

Jubair Hussain already played six Tests and three One-day international matches for Bangladesh national cricket team. During this journey he captured 16 Test wickets and 4 ODI wickets.

Besides Jubair Hossain has been included in the 14-member Bangladesh team for the first two ODIs against Zimbabwe which will be played on 7th and 9th November respectively. The addition of Jubair Hossain will undoubtedly turn Rangpur’s bowling attack more balanced. The franchise already has four specialist spinners in their team including number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
