Kevin Pietersen warns Team India ahead of England series
Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen congratulated the Indian cricket team that clinched the final Test in Brisbane by 3 wickets and won the Border Gavaskar Trophy series by 2-1. After applauding the Indian team, he also warned them ahead of the England series commencing next month.
India successfully retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after getting the better of Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane where the home side didn’t lose a single match for 32 years. The likes of Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant’s splendid show with the bat helped India ace the run chase of 328.
This is also India’s second consecutive Test series win in Australia, having won the trophy 2 years ago under Virat Kohli’s leadership. Former England international Pietersen took to Twitter to highlight Team India’s achievement in Australia.
Interestingly, he lauded Team India and warned them in Hindi. He echoed that the real challenge is when the England team comes to India in the next two weeks. “India – yeh aitihaasik jeet ka jashn manaye kyuki yeh sabhi baadhao ke khilaap hasil hui hai (Translation: This is a historic win, you must celebrate because it has been achieved despite all obstacles),” the former England captain congratulated Team India after the victory.

“LEKIN, ASLI TEAM toh kuch hafto baad a rahi hai jisse aapko harana hoga apne ghar mein (Translation: However, the real challenge comes your way in a few weeks, and you have to beat them at home),” he wrote, citing the England team.
“Satark rahe, 2 saptaah mein bahut adhik jashn manaane se saavadhaan rahen (Translation: Be careful, refrain from celebrating too much in the coming two weeks),” Pietersen added.
