Kings XI Punjab seek a ‘name change’ before IPL
An official of Board of Control for Cricket in India informed Kings XI Punjab, one of the most powerful franchises of the Indian Premier League, have requested to change their name.
Pritey Zinta, the co-owner of Kings XI Punjab, while assisting the request, pointed out to many teams of the United Sates National Basketball Association (NBA) and Major League Baseball are allowed to change their names when they shift the base.

Kings XI Punjab is yet to win a title contest in the Indian Premier League (IPL); this year they have constructed a strong team in IPL auction 2018.
