Kings XI Punjab have finally traded Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab co-owner Ness Wadia confirmed on Thursday, November 7.

As per PTI, Delhi Capitals had traded Karnataka spinner J Suchith to Kings XI as a part of the deal and an extra entirety of INR 1.5 crores as a major aspect of the trade. Ashwin will get INR 7.6 crores, his auction value from the IPL 2018 auction. The two clubs will currently need to hang tight for the assent of the IPL Governing Council on the deal.

“Everybody is happy with this deal. We are glad, Ashwin is glad and Delhi is glad. We were in converses with three franvhises yet have at last reached this resolution. We wish Ashwin the absolute best,” Punjab co-owner Wadia told PTI.

“We [Ashwin and KXIP] have agreeably reached a resolution that we should go separate ways.”

Out-of-favour who is currently out of the Indian limited-overs set-up is making use of the chance in Test cricket and domestic cricket. Ashwin, who led KXIP for two seasons hadn’t found much success with the team, accumulating only poor results with nothing much to show for.
